My life going crazy
Hello everyone, today I had a contractor start on an estimate for reroofing the house that I am buying. I hope that it’s not too much. Tomorrow the utilities get turned on in my name for the inspection that will happen either tomorrow or Wednesday. Wish me luck. I haven’t had much time to play much because when I’m not doing school or going crazy over the new house I’m helping my friends fix up their house. They are letting our family stay in their basement until the purchase is done so we really owe them a lot. More than we can repay due to the love that they have shown us over the years. Good friends are great to have. My buddy shayne has been helping us out with moving stuff into storage and also hooking our other friends up with home improvements as well. We’re blessed to have so many friends.
My online gaming life has been put on somewhat of a hold. School has been taking up a lot of time as well as working full time again. (I was on medical leave) The kids love to take all my time too. I’m not complaining as this time will go very fast. Soon my kids won’t want to have me around so I’m enjoying this. I have to get back on my diet when we move into the house. The good news is that I’ll get to ride my bike a lot more because I’ll have a place to keep it. There is so much work to be done in the new house but I can take comfort in knowing that it will be mine. When it’s done the house will be worth a lot more. And when the economy picks up the value will as well.
This is my house. It doesn’t look like much but its great inside. The yard is fenced and large enough for the kids to play in and inside there is 2k sq ft of fun (and hard work) to do.

Life Happens
My wife and I decided that the only way to really fix this was to cut off all her hair. Although very traumatic for a girl it was our only choice. We striped her and started to cut off her hair. I thought to myself as I cut “my daughter is going to look like Britney spears” She had her bath when it was all over and of course we have pictures, but now she looks so sweet in her head scarf.
My little boy, so as to lessen the pain that his sister was going through wanted to cut his hair too. He was fine with it until I actually started cutting but by then it was too late. So now I have two little bald children. My son wanted me to cut my hair as well and I thought about it. In the end I kept my hair as did my wife and my daughter, hopefully, has learned her lesson.

sleepy time
Sorry I haven’t written. I’ve been very tired. So tired in fact that I had trouble sleeping (go figure) I was up for the better part of the night so when 6am came I had to call in. it was that or fall asleep on the phone. Feeling like crud I actually managed to get some sleep (until 10). Well today is a great day despite feeling like crud. It’s great because I weigh 310lbs. I don’t know if losing all this weight all of a sudden is making me feel like this or if it’s something else. Well I’ve been eating the meals regularly and I’m not really starving so that’s good. I’m not going to go over what I eat each day any more as I don’t think that it’s important. We know that there powered food and prepackaged and not all that tasty so let’s just leave it at that.
Life has been going slow so I’ve tried a new game or two. One is borderlands. It’s not too bad as first person shooters go. It’s really a shooter/role playing game kind of. It’s slow and not too hard. The other is dragon age origins. I thought that this game was going to be great, however as I play I noticed that the different choices that you get in the dialog all lead to the same place regardless. This doesn’t make sense because if you tell someone that there crazy there going to react differently than if you tell them you love them. Don’t get me wrong, the graphics are wonderful and the idea of the game is great but it would be nice if it was a little more free flowing. I feel as if I’m just following the script and I’m not really part of the game. Sadly most role playing games are like this. Well good night everyone I’ll be going to bed soon.

Vikings
Hello everyone, it’s me. Of course it’s me, it’s my blog. Today has been a great day. We woke up at 9 and got ready to go to Ikea, (just some oak and some pine and a handful of Norsemen). And by 10:30 we were off. Yes it took us an hour and a half to get ready; the joys of children. Actually I had to get a box ready to send to my sister.
Ok let’s get the food stuff out of the way. Today I weighed 314 and had eggs at 9 a lemon bar at 12, chicken soup at 3, tuna salad (green) at 6, and will have pudding at 8 and a shake at 10. Ok so that’s done.
At Ikea we purchased a set of bunk beds. This was about 11:30 and my wife hadn’t eaten yet so she was rather grumpy. I’m always grumpy now (you eat only powered food for a week and not be grumpy) so we got into a little spif at the car putting the big box in. Well after that I took my heart into the store to get her some food so she would stop biting my head off. Were home now taking some time to eat dinner and then its off to finish putting together the bunk beds.

Late post
Hello everyone, sorry but I was so tired last night I fell asleep watching movies and then got into a new game. Well 316 for Tuesday (maybe the crab and the salt kept in the water) but I started out with eggs. I really like the eggs. At 9 I had a crunch bar and at 12 I had chicken soup. At about 3 I had a chocolate shake and it wasn’t so bad. At 5 I had my wife’s wonderful fish and broccoli, and at 9 I had a cappuccino that was good as well. At 11 I had a snack of jello. Life is good but I will have a real post later today.

Thursday Blues on Monday
Hello all, today was a good day for the most part. I wasn’t all that hungry and I started the day at 316lbs. I had oatmeal at 6:30 for breakfast then a fruit bar at 9 then chicken soup at 12 then pudding at 3, then to mix things up at 6 I had crab and tuna salad (the green kind) and a chocolate shake at 9. My head and neck only throbbed mildly today so I put up with it. I still haven’t taken anything for my head pain as my doc says that the medicine could be causing it and I have to get it out of my system. My right wrist hurts today like carpel tunnel. I’m just falling apart. Very tired tonight so I think I’ll go to bed early. (well early for me). Tomorrow is my Friday so TGIF.

still hurting
Today I spent the day sleeping and reading. My head really pounded and my joints ached to the point that sometimes I could not move my fingers. For breakfast I had the apple cinnamon oatmeal then at 9 a fruit bar, at 12 cream of broccoli soup, at 3 I had banana pudding, at 5 a jello snack, at 6:30 a tuna salad and at 9 I had a vanilla shake. All in all the tuna was the best. Its 10 now and I’m going to bed so I can go to work tomorrow. Hope I feel better, night.
Feel like (^&^*$#.
Hello everybody. I didn’t get to write last night, sorry. Yesterday was hard because my head hurt all day. I don’t mean hay I have a headache but the “my god” stop the pulsing. I started at 323 lbs and had eggs for breakfast. Surprisingly the eggs were great. I then moved on to the raisin and fruit bar then chicken and rice soup with pudding at 3. For dinner I had fish and broccoli again (so wonderful) and I tried to have a mocha shake but it really sucked.
This morning I have called in to work. I really feel like *&&*(*(@. Well you get the picture. My head still pulses and every joint in my body hurts. My voice hurts too. That was starting yesterday and I hope it gets better. I’m going to eat my apple cinnamon oatmeal now. Good luck people and I will write again tonight. By the way, 319 lbs today.

Today is the day
Today I started the Metilife diet. It’s not so bad if you love powdered food. It started this morning with oatmeal. It was ok to smell but after tasting it I realized that it really wasn’t that good. After that I got a snack bar that really was good then chicken soup that was ok. My dinner was wonderful. My wife made tilapia with broccoli that tasted so great. I then had the hot chocolate and for the last meal I had strawberry shake. I’m hungry and cranky and I have to work tomorrow. Today I weigh 327 lbs and I hope that tomorrow I will weigh less. My head is killing me. I have tried to drink a lot of water but I don’t think that I have had enough. So I spent the day starving and watching Dr. House. I hope tomorrow will go by faster and I don’t feel so hungry

Parental responsibility is a thing of the past
Another victory for parents who should not be parents. Linda Kaiser of Elgin has successfully campaigned to get Roman shades recalled. After losing her child in a tragic accident involving a window blind Mrs. Kaiser started the “Parents for Window Blind Safety” group in the hopes of getting the blinds (that she purchased and apparently let her children play with) recalled.
Well they are being recalled, good job Linda. After all why should you have to look after your own children and keep them safe?
One of the first things that my wife and i did after finding out that we were going to have a baby was to go through the house and look for things that could, potentially, be harmful to a baby. We plugged up outlets, secured this and that, and thought of worst case scenarios to find problems. We never let our babies play alone and we were always within arm’s reach of our children. We know that things happen and have tried to keep them from happening. Every day I have waking nightmares about my child falling and hurting himself or my daughter getting a hold of something that she shouldn't. This is what keeps me vigilant. This is what keeps my children alive. It’s my job and my wife's job to keep our children from harm.
This is just one of the many ways that Americans shove off their responsibility and blame others for their problems.
You can read the article here and this was my response, just in case they don't print it.
My response:
Responsible parent
This is a great win for parents who are too lazy to baby proof their own homes. It’s not my fault that I left something that could be deadly within my child’s grasp. Think I’m insensitive, too bad. This kind of thinking is just some of what is wrong with this country. Look I’m sorry the woman lost her child but if she had been paying attention to her little girl, or been proactive and done something about the danger zone of a home that she lives in, then maybe her daughter would be here today. Take some responsibility people and stop blaming others. This was not a toy that was improperly made; this was a something that a child should have never been touching in the first place. Should we recall all tubs because parents let their children alone to drown in them? It’s the same thing people.

Oh the pain
Yes it still hurts and no, I can’t talk yet. Last night my sister in law came in for a visit at about 4am. We knew that she was coming so we were waiting. It was cold and after she got settled in with her husband and dogs we tried to sleep. That didn’t happen but I did read a lot of my book. I’m on chapter 24 and it’s great. Tomorrow is thanksgiving and I don’t think that I’m going to be able to eat that much. Oh well. I’ve lost 15 lbs on my “no solid food diet” more tomorrow if I survive.

I can’t talk
Today has been a very busy day for me. I woke up at 7am and took a shower then helped get the kids ready to go next door for the day. After my heart broke at the sound of my son crying, due to my leaving, my wife and I left for the hospital. Today I got my tonsils out. Let me just tell you that it hurts. Not as much as I thought it would but it still hurts. I can’t talk, I can hardly eat, drinking is a little bit of a chore, but I got Perkasets. I will be out of work until December 3rd but I still have to do my school work. Oh well, can’t win them all.
I was lucky and did not have to spend the night. There was some question as I sleep with a C-PAP machine and have sleep apnea. After picking up the kids and giving them dinner my son asked me to read him a book. If you remember from the first paragraph I can’t talk. It’s a good thing that my son and I both have a passable vocabulary of sign language. Using our unspoken communication we went through every page of the book and even added commentary. Go Dogs Go.
Well I’m going to bed where I am sure that my lack of tonsils will continue to hurt. Good night all.

Whats in a name?
http://www.momlogic.com/2009/07/i_took_my_wifes_last_name.php
My comments: "To tell the truth I really feel sorry for your marriage. The act of taking the name of the husband is much more than just giving up your name. It symbolizes that you are putting your trust in the man that you are going to spend the rest of your life with. You are leaving the protection of your father’s house and coming under the protection of a husband who will provide for your needs physically, mentally, and spiritually. When you take the name of your wife you are telling her that you don’t really care for her enough to take on that burden. She has to look toward her own well being and frankly it’s this type of mentality between husbands and wives that make for short marriages. In my view a woman who doesn’t take her husband’s name is not committing to the marriage and a man who doesn’t demand that the wife take his name has no intention of staying with her when things start to get rough. People are not taking marriage seriously anymore. It was my understanding that women wanted strong men who could provide and protect them and their children. if you can’t be proud enough of your husband to take his name then maybe you shouldn’t be marrying him, and if your forcing him to take your name then, ladies, you deserve the (wo)man you get. As for a man changing his name to that of his wife’s I can only say that you dishonor you fathers and entire family who had hoped to raise you to be a real man. Stand up, be a MAN, and show some pride in yourself and show your soon to be wife that there is something in you to be proud of."

Stupid Police
These videos can be found all over the internet and I believe that the police often forget that they have them mounted on their own squad cars. One of the best videos was taken by a driver who had cameras mounted inside his car with a wireless uplink to his website. We can see in the video that the driver was following all the proper laws and procedures and was still stopped. When he asked what he had done he was told that he had not signaled when he turned (the video clearly showed the blinker turned on during the turn. The police officer then threatens the driver offering to make up charges and arrest him. All the while the driver can be heard responding politely and respectfully. The police officer then notices the camera and quickly backtracks and lets the driver go. My favorites are the videos of police misusing the tasers. These videos just make me want to move to Alaska away from all civilization and this police state that we are turning into.
This latest video that I have found clearly shows an officer losing control of his emotions and abusing his authority by arresting a member of the media for interviewing witnesses to an accident. The police officer orders the reporter to leave and when he, on his way back to the truck, states that the camera man can film the accident, the reporter is accosted. The police officer puts his hands on the reporter, stopping him from returning to his truck and when the reporter states that he is trying to leave the officer asks him is he wants to be arrested. Then we see a trick that officers use all the time. I know this because I was told by a police officer that they are trained to do this.
The trick is to yell out actions that the person is accused of performing, actions that allow them to respond physically, even though no such actions have taken place. Officers will yell out things like “lower your hands” or “stop resisting” even if the hands are not raised and the person is not resisting. The belief is that if they state the action, later it can be documented and in effect proven that the actions have taken place even though they have not. With the widespread availability of camcorders and video phones this practice is easily spotted and called out for the manipulation and out and out lie that it is. In the video the officer yells out “take your hands off of the truck” even though the reporter is not touching the truck. The officer arrests the man even though he is trying to comply with the officers demands. What happens here is an emotional response to a tense situation. The officer gives an order and when it is not followed immediately the officer feels that his authority is threatened, then in order to keep his sense of superiority he must follow through with the only option that allows him to save face and that is to arrest the person. That will show them. Don’t get me wrong, I have great respect for police officers and feel that the majority of them do a great job. There are some however that feel that they have to display their authority like they would their badge. They are what we would have called bullies in high school. It is when this power goes to their heads that we hear stories of people getting tazed for little to no reason upwards of five to ten times while on the nearly unconscious. I have seen videos of police officers tackling children for throwing snowballs at other children or skateboarding, videos of officers knocking cyclists off of their bikes for no apparent reason. There have also been sting operations setup by people to catch police abusing their powers in other ways such as obtaining search warrants with no probable cause what so ever. People such as “Johnny justice” filming officers breaking traffic laws for no other reason other than they knew that they could get away with it. I believe that the police have entirely too much power over people in their everyday lives. They can fill out paper work with statements such as “the suspect approached in a threatening manner” and these statements are purposefully vague and completely subjective. I believe that it is high time the police are called to obey the same laws that they enforce. In this most recent video there was no reason for the officer to touch the reporter or to threaten him. Below are some links to sites that show police abuse of power. Remember that not all police abuse their power but it does seem that way doesn’t it?

Just remember, you asked.
What is even more sad is that apparently the authority of who should and should not be sitting in judgment of people is not a lawyer or another judge but a “former Celebrity Big Brother contestant” I’m happy that Mr. Watkins is pleased to see that attitudes have changed because if attitudes had not changed there would be a lot more people losing their jobs. Not because they had done something wrong but because they had a mind of their own.
How do I feel about gays? I feel sorry for them. Let me tell you people: when you take a gay man or woman and separate them from the sexual aspect of their life, there wonderful people. The idea of homosexual sex is just repugnant to me and I feel that (and this is my personal belief so if you don’t like it too bad) people who are homosexual have something wrong with them. This is where everyone starts telling me that I’m a terrible person and that I deserve to die a painful death. I don’t care. I can look past the sexual aspect of a person and truly care for them but don’t ask me to like and agree with the choice to be homosexual. Either something is not right in their minds or they were taken advantage of as a child because the main reason for existence is to procreate and perpetuate the species and homosexual sex cannot accomplish this.
Oh no here comes the religion. Look out people this is where I really offend. I’m not a religious fanatic but I do believe in the Bible. Some people consider that a character flaw others believe it makes you feebleminded. Frankly I don’t care what others believe, as you can tell by this post. For those of you who call yourself Christians or any variation of that category you have to take a stand against homosexuality. You cannot sit on the fence. You have no choice because that is what the Bible tells you to do. You cannot pick and choose what to believe when it comes to this book, it’s all or nothing. Some things we have to take on faith and others are open to interpretation. Some things are black and white and homosexuality is just that. The Bible says that homosexuality is an abomination (Leviticus 18:22). For those of you who do not know an abomination is defined as a vile, shameful, or detestable action, condition, habit, etc. Some explain this reference away by quoting other scriptures in that book that mention abominations but the reasoning is flawed. Without going into mistranslations from the original Hebrew, Greek, and other languages and disregarding dietary stipulations we can safely say that these people are doing exactly what they claim Christians are doing, twisting the bible to suit their own needs. The Bible says to hate the sin but love the sinner and yes homosexuality is a sin. I am not saying go cry out in outrage against the great gay beast but certainly do not keep your feelings to yourself. Don’t hate gays, love them. Show them all the compassion that you would show any member of your family (you should be doing this for everyone regardless). But when asked, let it be known that you know that it is a sin and that it is wrong. Gay men and women, when you hear a person tell you, when you ask, that your homosexuality is wrong, don’t be offended remember that you asked.
